THIS WEEK

Wonderful is this wall of stone, wrecked by fate.
The city buildings crumble, the bold works of giants decay,
Roofs have caved in, towers collapsed,
Barred gates have gone, gateways have gaping mouths, hoar frost clings to mortar.
Ceilings save nothing from the story of storms, worn away, tottering,
Undermined by age.
