THIS WEEK
Wonderful is this wall of stone, wrecked by fate.
The city buildings crumble, the bold works of giants decay,
Roofs have caved in, towers collapsed,
Barred gates have gone, gateways have gaping mouths, hoar frost clings to mortar.
Ceilings save nothing from the story of storms, worn away, tottering,
Undermined by age.

MOD NORD
It's been fun making some pictures for A Secret Club's new exhibition, opening 5th December in Aarhaus, Denmark.
This time, their mythical explorer has travelled to the Northern Territories for the winter show, Mod Nord. The North is a land of mysterious plains and mists, of rock hard plants and lights in the sky. It's a place where normal modes of identification go out the window - is it organic or inorganic, land or ocean, light or vapour? The line between substance and mirage is blurry at best...

THIS...MONTH
Things have been busy this month - busy and good! But I have neglected you, dear diary. Let's get reacquainted.
We all had a mega time at the DIY Art Market, thanks Mark Farhall:
Thanks to neighbours Eleni Kalorkoti and Alessandra Genualdo, for your inspirational presence and boss work.
It was quite a thrill to go to Three Letter Words at The Rochelle School too - what a collection of work. Adrenaline all over the place. Cheers TiPiTin for taking along The Elder to add to the mix. Personally, I was quite made up to talk to Kate Morrell, because she is amazing.
I had a great few days at UCA Farnham getting stuck in with the Illustration Course's new riso machine - it's a beaut! The students made some impressive comics anthologies in the scantest whisper of time - a true achievement.
What else? I'm sending some prints and comics to the impressive Flying Circus Small Press Bookstore in Bari, Italy, which will be open throughout December. The work they already have there, and the workshop program on offer looks really exciting, I wish I could visit and join in!
I've also been doing some drawings for Secret Club's winter show, and a new French Alphabet book, but they will require more space, dear diary, so I will end this entry

THE EXPLORER'S VISIT TO THE NORTH
Plains blend into the frozen sea
Plant life grows very slowly, which makes them small and rock hard. Fungi can easily be mistaken for stones
In winter a fog of colourful light moves close to the ground
In summer, dark shapes form in the sky, making strange shadows on the ground

STOCKISTS AND STUFF
Right, if you're interested, here's an update of recent stockists as well as places you can find me sitting at a table with me books!
More prints and comics can now be found at Ti Pi Tin books, a great bookshop where Kingsland Road turns into Stoke Newington High Street. It's one of the best :-)
More comics can now be found at the inimitable Gosh Comics, in super central London. Right next to sexy Soho! It's a great comic shop - you will leave with plenty of goodies.
Babes in Arms can ALSO be found in the sublime Good Press Gallery in Glasgow. Such a pleasure, these guys are the tops. They've got it online HERE, and very nice it is too. They also just brought out a great beefy thing called Museums 6, which I'm enjoying getting stuck into. It's tempting to swallow it all at once, but I am resisting!
If you're interested in the 'real life' touch, I will be at the Hackney Flea's DIY Art Market TOMORROW! Short notice, I know! But be spontaneous and get down there, you won't be disappointed. There's gonna be a lot of great stuff on show, I promise.
That's all for now. But more news soon.
